How do I start blogging and make money at the same time?
I would like to start making money Blogging. Can someone lead me in the right direction? There are so many free sites, kits, etc? Don’t know where to start?

The biggest secret to being a "profitable" blogger is blogging about your passion. Blogs that are built with a reason of making money usually don’t make it far and do not make money.
You need to update your blog often. Once a day is the BEST but if you cannot do so, try to update it at least 2-3 times a week – this way your readers will see that you update often, they will come back and read your blog again, maybe click on some ads, buy something from your blog…
Blogger.com is great but I prefer Wordpress.com

None of the websites others list for you actually help you make money, though, unless you sell ads and items through your blog. With Wordpress and Blogspot, those kinds of things are not built in…so you’d have to do it yourself.
There are different sites and rings that claim to pay you to blog. You can do an internet search to find some of those. But I just signed up with http://www.orble.com , which seems like a very honest site that does everything that helps you make money for you except for the things you’re supposed to be doing (i.e. blogging). I say they’re honest because they let you know upfront that making money with blogging takes months as you build up your readership. They also let you know that making money depends on what you blog about–certain topics are more popular than others, and certain topics have tons of people writing about them already. They even give a list of topics that are a good idea if you want to make money. After you write a few posts, they generally will offer to set you up with your own domain with no charge. They also do things to help promote your blog, such as list you on the homepage when you first sign up, list you in the updated blogs section, list you on the same page of a blog that is similar in focus as yours, etc.
So, the other suggestions given here are correct–blog your passion, update your blog regularly, get your own domain. Orble is the best I’ve seen so far that helps you do those things and have a shot of getting paid.
